ALIMCO, a Schedule ‘C’ Miniratna Category II Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), functions under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). As a 100% government-owned, not-for-profit entity, ALIMCO is dedicated to improving the lives of persons with disabilities by manufacturing and distributing high-quality rehabilitation aids and assistive devices across India.
With a mission that prioritizes social impact over profitability, ALIMCO’s operations span the manufacture and nationwide distribution of artificial limbs and aids through initiatives such as the Pradhanmantri Divyasha Kendra (PMDK) under the ADIP scheme. It is the only manufacturing entity in India producing such a wide variety of assistive devices under one roof to serve diverse disabilities.
