Digital Project Management Platform with BIM 5D

Highbar has facilitated the next-generation digital project management platform, especially in the metro rail space, which consists of BIM 5d (5 Dimensional Building Information Modelling) integrated with SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) supported by OSO (Owner’s Support Office). This is the first-of-its-kind platform implemented across India for efficient project management at Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. The platform is a powerful integration of four world-class products: SAP, Primavera, Bentley, and RIB.

The digital platform offers an enterprise-wide core transactional system integrating all business functions and provides business analytics along with engineering drawings in 2D and intelligent 3D drawing formats. It also includes project scheduling and a tool that integrates all this software seamlessly, enabling enterprise-wide reporting powered by 5D BIM software.

With the implementation of this Digital Project Management platform, Highbar has begun focusing on mega construction projects to adopt this solution and leverage 5D BIM technology for efficient project management across infrastructure projects.

With the deployment of the Digital platform at Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation, Highbar has introduced advanced technologies such as OpenText ECM, Linear Asset Management, Re-Land, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), and FLM (File Lifecycle Management) — for the first time in India — on a linear mega project. Maha Metro is successfully using these technologies for the Nagpur Metro project, combined with the innovations of BIM 5D.
